Steven Davies hit 81 and took five catches as England Lions went close to wrapping up a two-day victory over Bangladesh.

Davies helped the Lions reached 296 before Bangladesh struggled against the pace bowlers and ended just 63 runs ahead with one wicket in hand and two days remaining.

Davies told ECBtv he was disappointed not to have reached a century but was pleased to have shone with the England selectors watching.
