James Whitaker captained Leicestershire to two remarkable Championship victories in the mid 1990's, and then coached the County in following years, but has been out of the game since 2005. This he feels is a benefit as it gives him a fresh pair of eyes with which he will help assess the international prospects of England's finest. Geoff Miller will head a selectorial panel consisting of part-timers Whitaker and Ashley Giles, with Coach Peter Moores completing the foursome.
